The need for Heathrow Expansion
Strong international connectivity plays a vital role in supporting the UK economy. For many years, governments of all political parties have recognised that additional airport capacity is needed to keep the UK competitive and strengthen links with fast-growing economies around the world.
In 2015, the Airports Commission concluded that a new runway at Heathrow was the best way to meet future demand for air travel in the south east. Government support for Heathrow expansion has remained strong ever since, with the current government reaffirming its commitment to a third runway and new terminal capacity as an important part of its plans to drive economic growth and improve connectivity.

Heathrow West Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Arora Group.
The Arora Group is a successful UK-owned company and, together with its professional team, has expertise in airports, construction, hospitality and sustainability. We specialise in developing great facilities and looking after people, and we care about the future of Heathrow.
Founded in 1999, The Arora Group manages a diverse portfolio of landmark facilities across some of the nation’s key business locations, including business and hospitality facilities at Heathrow Airport.
We have partnered with internationally recognised brands to deliver consistently high service levels and platforms for sustainable growth and have worked alongside airlines at Heathrow Airport for over two decades.
The Arora Group is a committed local employer. Around 92% of our employees at Heathrow live in the local area, and we have proven apprenticeship programmes and relationships with local education providers which have been successful in providing the skills that the local community needs to access the jobs that will be provided at Heathrow West.
